Ahhhh, Organic Bedding!!

A little while after Christmas I bought some deeply discounted organic sheets from Anthropologie (so love Anthro). I love my sheets so much. They have a fun green print all over and I love that they are made with organic cotton. The growing of organic cotton is much more eco-friendly than non-organic cotton and I wholly support that! Anyhoo, loving these sheets got me to lookin' for other organic cotton bedding options so here's what I found.

Bunk Beds!

I love this built in bunk idea and look so much! If I had the space, I would find some way to make these bunks beds happen in my house. The stairs up to the top bunks are awesome and the bedding on them is so perfect. Each bed has its own light and little bookshelf. Cute! Such a great idea!

A New, Old House

I hadn't visited Elle Decor in awhile so I decided to pop over to their website and see what wonderfulness they had to offer; I was not disappointed. I came upon an article about Interior Designer, Patrick Printy's home. It's a brand new home that he and his partner, Dan Holland, designed and had built but they wanted it to look like it had "been around forever." The home is beautiful. It has so much natural light streaming in and they filled it with amazing furniture and lots of reclaimed wood (which looks fantastic). I hope this house gives you some inspiration and ideas! Enjoy. : )

This is the picture that sparked my curiosity. I love the look of the house from the back. Printy was inspired by Cape Dutch farmhouses in South Africa. Beautiful.

The living room is lovely. I am loving the exposed beams (reclaimed wood) and wide plank floors.

The dining area is very simple but appealing to the eye. The chandelier is a Printy design.

Love the simple kitchen with lots of drawer space! Bar stools are from Design Within Reach.

I am so in love with this wall full of framed art! It just looks amazing. I like that there is plenty of furniture present but it doesn't overwhelm the room. Sofa is by Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams and the tray table is by Roost. High Fashion Home carries the side chairs; the Exposition Leather Chair.

The master bedroom. Still loving the exposed beams and I like the neutral color scheme. Bed is a Printy design.

This bathroom is so beautiful. So much natural light coming in, a gorgeous cast-iron bathtub and I adore the giant 18th-century wardrobe!

A guest bedroom. Headboard is from Williams-Sonoma Home, duvet is from Serena & Lily, and the tulip shaped chair is from Pierre Paulin. That bed looks so comfy!

Another guest room. I love the stacked books under the edge of the bed. The bed is from Room & Board.

Diane von Furstenberg Home Collection!!

Perhaps you have already heard (I hadn't) that Diane von Furstenberg is launching her new home collection sometime this month. If you haven't heard, well, now you have!! I am so excited to see all of her new home line! I love her designs and so far I have really liked what I have seen of her home collection. She uses color but not too much and funky shapes for her tableware. From what I've read via Oprah Magazine, the DVF home collection will be carried at Bloomingdale's and can be ordered through the Diane von Furstenberg which are already available. Check it out below. website. DVF also offers a line of rugs.

I like that the leopard print is in purple and pretty blues. (photo from Oprah magazine)

Batik bedding and fun, funky shaped tableware. I love the bedding!

I love these Batik Dot sheets! (photo from Oprah magazine)

Lovely Home in Charlotte

I saw this house while checking out Southern Living. The house is so classic and beautiful on the outside and it just gets better once you walk through the door. I really enjoy the different prints and colors used throughout the house. Love it.

I have always loved houses that look like this one.

The family room. I love this room so much! Every piece of furniture is a different print but they all work so well together. That mirror? Fuhgettaboutit! : ) And there is plenty of seating so everyone can hang out together.

Now, green is my favorite color so I love the green walls and other little touches of green in this kitchen. Even if it weren't green I would still love it. I think every kitchen needs to have an island. I like the big window and the mix of glass door and solid door cabinets.

I LOVE that the stove is set in an alcove! I'm not sure why other than I think it looks neat.

The breakfast area is great! Yes, I love the lime green chairs but I also think the bench seating along the wall is very smart and then the storage space under that seating is brilliant!

The dining room looks great! I absolutely LOVE the chandelier!!

Daughter's bedroom. Of course, more green (love it) and I like the little reading corner complete with tent. The wallpaper is fun too and livens up the whole room.

This is the son's room. Love the bright colored bedding in the same room as the black and white curtains!

This is the "office". Truly, it's my kind of office. Very organized and uncluttered. Nice.

The parent's bedroom is much more neutral and simple but still very great looking.

Love, love this bathroom! It's got so much great light coming in. I bet a bath in that tub is so relaxing!

Amazing Manhattan Apartment!

This very colorful, very wonderful home belongs to actor, Anthony Edwards and his wife, cosmetics queen, Jeanine Lobell. Jeanine Lobell was the mastermind behind Stila cosmetics (she sold the company and is now the Creative Director for Kevyn Aucoin Beauty); and you may remember Anthony Edwards as Goose from Top Gun or Dr.Greene from ER. Their home has lots of eye-popping color and wallpapers yet it also has a relaxed, comfy look to it. I love, love it!

Jeanine collaborated with Rafael de Cardenas to decorate the apartment. The sectional sofa (love!) and cocktail table are by Cardenas. The sleigh chairs are by High Style Deco. The curtains are made from a Starkde Gournay. fabric and the framed wallpaper panel is by

Flowers artwork is by Jean-Francois Debongnie. I adore the chairs and the Designers Guild fabric they are upholstered in. The vases on the table are by Robert Kuo.

I had seen the wallpaper and the rug separately, I don't think I would have put them together but they do work! The table, cabinet and mirror all came from Sweden.

This wall color is amazing!! (sorry, I don't know the exact brand and color) A simple 1960's Brazilian credenza, some well placed pictures and great lamps make the space complete.

I can't tell you how happy this Bright Lime (by Benjamin Moore) kitchen makes me!! The kitchen already has great light, thanks to the windows and this color just kicks it up a notch.

Jeanine and Anthony in the breakfast room with one of their daughters. More Bright Lime paint and fun wallpaper!! The huge table is perfect!

Now, green is my favorite color and I have always loved the idea of a design that starts near the baseboard and stops mid-wall so this is a win, win! (wallpaper is by Sum-Design)

Lots of the pieces in the office came from Visiona in Miami. Some of the artwork on the wall is by Anthony's grandfather, Kem Weber (who also designed the lounge chair).

The bedroom is painted in Grappa by Benjamin Moore. The bed was designed by Cardenas and covered in a Stark fabric.
