Vintage Peacock Headboards!!

I'd like to thank my friend, Betsy, for the inspiration behind this post! Thanks, Betty. : ) My parents had a headboard just like these when I was a kid. If I'd have known that their headboard would one day become a much sought after home decor item, I would have helped them take better care of it! These headboards are so simple and beautiful.

HFH Labor Day Pickers Sale!

This weekend we are setting up shop outside and placing a canopy in front of our store. What for? For all those antique pickers in the greater Houston area. This Pickers Sale will have an assortment of worldly antiques to sort through and hopefully there's a little treasure to be found for everyone. Be like the American Pickers and find the greatest value in what was once someone elses. This vintage antique sale will be one to remember! You never know what you may find.  Your treasure awaits! 

The sale starts this Saturday through Monday (09/01/12 - 09/03/12).  Quantities very limited.

Stella Love Furniture!

No, my name is not Stella but I do love furniture. More importantly, I love great furniture pieces. I came across the furniture creations from Stella Love today while checking out a new (to me) blog by Second ShoutOut (SS are passionate about vintage contemporary pieces and will have their own online marketplace soon). I adore the Stella Love creations (available through Nube Green)! She uses plaid fabrics and vintage Swiss Army blankets to bring life to these old furniture beauties.... (she also makes clothes!) Enjoy!

 The Very Victorian Settee is Very Beautiful! The stripes and the plaid! I love the peek-a-boo plaid on the underside of the cushions.

Perhaps you've met The Novogratz. Robert and Cortney Novogratz are the husband and wife, interior design duo that became stars thanks to Bravo's show, 9 by Design (they have 7 children!). I came across them again the other day through More Design Please. I love that their interiors are a mish-mash of vintage, eclectic, classic and color with a twist of fun. Take a look at their work.
