The wealthiest man in India, Mukesh Ambani, is in the process of building a 27 story, $1,000,000,000 home. Isn't it amazing how much value the zeros gain as they increase in number, simply because there is a 1 in front of them?
The home is being built in one of the plush areas of Mumbai, India, formerly known as Bombay. The 570 feet tall, 27 story home will appear more like a 60 story edifice because the ceilings are very high, according to some published reports. The glass house has been named Antilia, after a mythical island, and was designed by Perkins & Will, a Chicago architecture firm.
It has been rumored that the palace home will house 600 servants. The home will have 6 floors of parking space, maintainance areas, a theater, guest rooms, 4 floors of living space for Ambani's immediate family, pools, gardens, excercise rooms and helipads. Check out the video below.
