Photos that moved me

I'd love one of these big (as in, A1) prints from NZ photographer Lucy Gauntlett in my home.
A little reminder that our road is leading somewhere. The way is long, with hills giving in to plains, scary corners where you can't see what's coming, and spots where the sun hits your face and the view spreads out before you.

And these below images (taken at the gannet colony at Muriwai beach) make me feel kind of... reverential.
Lucy's website is here, and you can buy these prints online here.

Per Breiehagen

Minnesota photographer Per Breiehagen's Norwegian roots are revealed in his beautiful Winter Magic series of photographs that he created several years ago when his daughter was small. Through digital photography, he captures the magic of Scandinavian winters with his adorable daughter as the little tonttu. Fun to revisit his charming photographs each Christmas, you can find his website here.

All photographs by Per Breiehagan.

Here is the story of how the Christmas card that Per and his wife sent out in 2007 became a worldwide sensation and resulted in the Winter Magic series being created.

Vintage camera collection turned into large format prints by a Kiwi photographer

When he's not shooting for UK's big fashion and lifestyle magazines, New Zealand photographer Antony Nobilo is hunting for vintage cameras. He started collecting when he was 15, and now has 200. Well, he recently documented all 200 in a series of photographs, and is selling the shots as a line of products - including (my fave) large format prints.

(By the way, he's currently looking for stockists in Australia and New Zealand... get in there like swimwear.)
