Humor for your weekend

Humor is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. Wikipedia.   I choose to be silly most of the time because sometimes that's all you need to be happy.  Life is composed of moments and if we fill them with lightness of heart and spirit everything looks and feels much better.  It's not always easy to do that but, it's worth the try!  I hope you have a fun and laughter-filled weekend!

Instagram Crushes

If you have a Blackberry you are missing big time on the big party called Instagram.  I'm an irreversible addict; I should confess.  What? Facebook? oh... that ain't feed ego! Instagram is like a labyrinth!, that I should warn you but, once you taste it you're taken forever.
I don't remember how I came across Luisa Fernanda (@luisafere) but, I'm so glad I did!  Not only does she have the most updated and fashionable wardrobe ever but, also the best Instagram gallery I've seen so far.  Every time I look at one of her assemblances I weep because it reminds me of my lonely wardrobe still stocked inside a container in a port in Santos, Sao Paulo, waiting to reunited with its mami.  If you don't know Luisa you should and get inspired!  You'll see how she can teach a thing or two to many fashion bloggers? 

 Seriously? converse, leopard throw, a dog and the coolest air giraffe on a Sunday morning? 

She has the coolest kid in the block, Alonzo Mateo and as you can see him above he doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to style. 

 He is adorable!

 Then I get to sneak peek into her home too.

Then I have a neck and arm obsession too called @dylanlex.  Here, this girl makes me want to go out and buy all the jewelry I come across with.  She also makes me eat less and work out harder.  You guys know how much I looove bijoux and layers so dylanlex gives me both of them in the most beautiful way!

Growing up I kept asking my mom for a penguin as a pet until I was a laid-back 6 year-old.  My child ignorance didn't let me realize I couldn't keep him in the freezer so when I looked at this picture below of her I felt my heart melt. 

Love, love and more love to everything she is wearing below.

The love between she and her sister also makes me cry because mine is so far away now.  The sisters also have a blog Me and Lex.

And finally there is this family that makes me feel ashamed of my occasional uptightness.  Denise, whose Instagram account is @denisebovee, teaches her children to be explorers.  She also has a blog called We go to and fro where she documents their adventures.  Her account is one of those magical and artistic ones in which you can get lost in the stories behind the pictures.

The love and devotion comes across every picture.

You give them the world, why not teach them to help you with the laundry!

Friday eye candy " Alittle bit of this and a littlre bit of that"

Good morning lovely readers!  I' m happy that it's Friday, somewhere later than others but, the weekend starts!  I've been a little bit of a busy bee lately, our little one started school and for my peace of mind he's been doing great, happy and excited from the first day.  I finally have Internet of my own, no more using the generous neighbor's one and a lot of plans ahead personally and professionally.  I'll advance you that this blog is also going through a transition, like me, at the moment and it's going to change hopefully for the best.  I feel that this whole experience of moving to Sao Paulo has woken up feelings inside me that I thought were only mere imaginations or dreams.  While I work and organize some things for that change I'll be posting randomly.  For now, and until then, enjoy the good weather where you have it and have a wonderful weekend.  

Weather is a bit crazy lately.  Warm one week and then a few days very cold, so I'm keeping myself warm with lots of tea during the day.  Below a picture of my lovely Cinnamon tea.

This an unofficial Saturday eye candy for all of my lovely readers who, like me, are committing a sin by blogging on a beautiful Saturday morning.  If by any chance you have absolutely nothing more fun to do and happen to be cyber sauntering during  the weekend then this is for you.  Bom fim de semana!
I´ve been forever infatuated with Brazilian jewelry and this week I got these cool earrings (below) and I love them.

Instagram-tification and want awesome affordable shoes?

Don't we all love finding great shoes at even greater prices?  I found these Sam Edelman studded pumps at T.J.Max for like half the price that goes online.  I love how studs are popping up everywhere in fashion lately.  Glam Rocks!

Red Rooster in Harlem has recently been in every piece of print I've read lately, even Vogue, and we finally paid a visit this past weekend with a group of friends.  The place has a very hip and young environment and the decor is pretty unique and different.

The weather couldn't have been perfecter.  We were lucky we were able to sit outside.

I love this dress.  You can't just keep thinking one day I'll dress like that! No! you have to do it.  Life is short and we're not getting any younger so to all of you who are like me and admire people who dress modern and young with an edge, go for it!

Instagram-tification: This week

 My coffee table.  It makes me smile!

I call it Instam-tification for a reason.  The happy effect is instantly, you don't need to worry about what to write and it feels a lot more personal and cool.  I'm addicted to this stuff.  It's beyond simple you see something you love, take a picture and upload it.  Here are a few of my personal latest.
