trust:
assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something
one in which confidence is placed
dependence on something

TRUST in the lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding proverbs 3: 5-6

trust can be hard when dealing with the world, but god overcame the world  (john 16:33)  so trusting in him can be easy //

in what ways do you put your trust in God?
in ways do you need to put your trust in God?

The hubs and I were discussing why we love music so much, good music, the other day. We were talking about how a good song can lift your spirits, take you to a memory, and overall make you feel good.
We got to talking about why is that? Why does music make you feel good?

The answer is simple we were made to worship. made to worship a present and living god.

For me...worship sets the tone for my attitude for service, worship works deep,it causes my spirit to stir. I never want to go through the motions during worship, b/c God doesn't want that, he wants me, wholeheartedly.

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! psalm 95:1

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.   colossians 3:16

Next time your in worship go to him wholehearted with a spirit of thanksgiving, surrender to him, I know I will.
I love to shout you name oh lord! /// I will not allow a rock to cry out in my place.

what are your thoughts or questions about praise and worship music? do you enjoy it?

my one word. ( click here to learn more about my one word )

2013: pursue

pursue: to follow, to engage in, to chase.

I want to pursue more of God, more worship , more of the good word,  more relationships and fellowship, more dreams and goals for this little blog, more ways to honor god in all I do.

have you ever heard of my one word?
if so what is yours?

"Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it." /// psalm 34:14

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Christmas!

I know I am going to take the extra time to cherish this little family of mind, and remember the real reason we celebrate this season...the birth of our savior!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." /// luke 2:10-14

I have this adorable little nephew, his name is Luke and he is two. He has these crystal blue eyes, like his brothers he can't say my name so he calls me "cena", and he likes to come over to our house and drop crackers all over the floor after the hubs just cleaned them :)

He has spent the last 14 out of 17 days in the hospital and he will be there for at least 5 or 6  more. He could use some prayers today. Prayers of healing, prayers for wisdom of the doctors working with him, prayers for his mom and dad as they deal with all that is going on. Isaiah 53:5 says, "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.". The hubs always points out that this says we ARE healed, not were, or will be, but are.

Matthew 18:20 tells us where two or more are gathered in his name he is there. So will you gather and pray with me today? Is there anything you need prayer for today?

thankful list: so thankful for a savoir who daily offers his love and mercy even though i don't deserve it. for a husband who loves jesus more than he loves me, reads his bible daily, makes great coffee and lets me warm my feet up on him. for not one, not two, but 3 beautiful, healthy children who fill my life with such joy. for a mom who chose life. for in-laws who instilled a love of god in their son. for wonderful friends and family. for a home, and a pantry full of food, and something as simple as running water.

what are you thank for today?

happy thanksgiving!!
