Miami: A city full of glamour, excitement, and very modern contemporary

Miami:

As I show friends of mine that are in town the sites and sounds of Miami, I can';t stop thinking how much this city has grown in the past 10 years.. From a downtown that no one dared venture out at night, a Biscayne Blvd, Miami's downtown main artery stretching from Brickell to Miami Shores, so full of drug pushers and prostitutes no one traveled on this road, and crime so elevated, people always talked about this city in a negative crime infested waste.

Fast forward ten years and what do we have now.. A downtown full of residenial developments that is thriving with an entertainment districk, restaurant districts in Bayside, Brickell Village, and the city nightlife section, the city has a new arena, stadium, and Performing arts center, all of Biscayne Blvd has been completely remodeled and has sprung various entertainment areas, the Miami Design district has been revitalized int an arty community, and the cities future looks bright as ever with more and more development and business moving back from the areas they had abandoned long ago..

With change a new wave of young hip people have moved in and all buildings being build and most houses being built are being built in the modern contemporary style, giving Miami a new facelift and also making it the showplace for many of the new designs in both architecture and interior design in the modern contemporary style of design.

Yesterday while riding in my car, I stopped and took a few pictures for al of you to enjoy of the sites and sounds of Miami, Miami Beach, and the Downtown. I hope all of you enjoy these fantastic pictures of what I believe to be one of the most modern cities in the United States, one that full of fashion, style, and is at the forefront of current and upcoming trends, a city that changes with the times and flows with the attitudes of the day.

Modern, contemporary wonders by Robert Mills Architects

Three very modern, contemporary homes

toilet and bathroom design ideas

Below you will find three houses with very similar designs concepts, and plans. I find all three very interesting and that they all share a great concept and idea, a great design architect and interior design plan, and they all had excellent implementation of those plans because they present perfect examples to me of what modern, contemporary architecture and design stand for..

Modernist House Aesthetic Design Ideas by Robert Mills Architects

Here the Modernist House Aesthetic Design Ideas by Robert Mills Architects, this house with water element beside. The new timber, zinc and cement Ross Street home study is a surprise. The sharp angularity of the facade of concrete and sheets of zinc sheet draw a clean modernist aesthetic. Inside, light and mood immediately softens with a steel ladder processed as the sculptural centerpiece of the ground floor, combined with interiors by designers Hassell Scott Walker and Robert Backhouse. As a true example of bringing the outdoors, frameless glass windows will connect the interior to the exterior the same level, which includes a swimming pool 13.5 m throughout the length of the north wall. let’s check the Modernist House Aesthetic Design Ideas by Robert Mills Architects picture here:

Modern Aesthetic Verdant Avenue House Design by

Robert Mills Architects

environmentally sustainable houses

Modern Aesthetic Verdant Avenue House Design by Robert Mills Architects. Verdant Avenue RMA perfectly presents the modern aesthetics – form, function and detail along with nature at its best. This example of sustainable architecture dispels the myth that to be sustainable it is necessary to sacrifice luxury, glamor and pleasure. soon open the client simply ordered a ‘luxury family home within the contemporary city. “A 80 years old pin oak serves as a focal point for the life of the ground floor and first floor rooms. An impressive 3.5 meters wide sculptural ladder ground anchors for the first and second floors, windows floor to ceiling glass also add a dramatic touch to the interior. The separate outdoor entertaining areas of the floor by glass walls and sliding doors. let’s see the Modern Aesthetic Verdant Avenue House Design by Robert Mills Architects picture here:

Both of these two houses are stunning in every way.I love the openness and the glass. In my opinion glass should be used in all construction as the light that it reflects in the day time brings warmth and a sense of being in a comfortable environment to ones home as the house fills uop with the sun's rays. This type of house not only looks ultra modern and contemporary but is in my opinion one of the best examples oif modern design and architecture.

Hover Houses on maximizing Outdoor Special System for Reducing Noise

Pass Block 3 represents the third in the series of the architect Spend Holiday with a focus on maximizing environments for outdoor living structurally “hovering” the building envelope above the roof land.Unlike living environments, Hover Houses are comfortably protected, integrated in landscape and provide much needed land permeable to groundwater environments replenishment.Unlike living roof, Hover Houses are comfortably protected, integrated into the landscape and provide much needed land susceptible to ground water replenishment. The hope is that the Pass House concept provides a standard in temperate regions to eliminate significant portions of the floor area in exchange for inside seating areas outside, saving resources and reducing the carbon footprint of the project. Roof-mounted photovoltaic panels offset 80% of power demands. With the exception of interior wall paint, all interior finishes are devised to last indefinitely so that future emissions from finish replacements are minimized or eliminated.” The residence also features a special system for reducing outdoor noise.

A fantastic Cliffside Hills with
a great view, location, and design

Sometimes you see a house and the pictures are so amazing and unlike anything else you have ever seen that you have to share. Please read the post below ion this cliffside villa, unlike any house any of you have seeen I am, almost 100% sure.. Its am engineering and design masterpiece and shows how a good concept or idea can be implemented with good planning and finished off with what I feel is almost perfect interior designing.

Please have a look

Beautiful Cliffside Villa

There may have been times when we have drove past luxurious bungalows and beautiful villas and wished our dream homes to be similar or close to it. Here we take you through a tour of one such beautiful, modernist cliff side villa designed by Oscar Shamamian and Michael S.Smith(remember, the Whitehouse interior decorator?).The villa is situated on a steep site overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

The principle areas encompass five levels, with related living, dining and library spaces.A glass elevator connects these levels to the bedrooms below and to the roof and pool terrace.

villa interior design.jpg

The living room has been set with an 18-ton retractable glass to allow the inside and outside to dissolve into one.The decor inside is kept simple yet elegant leaving room for ample space to showcase some striking displays.

The dining level is elevated above the living level and main terrace for clear, uninterrupted views out to sea.

The street-level access opens to the pool terrace on the roof of the house.A glass staircase, at left, leads to the studio entrance below.

villa exterior.jpg

At the studio entrance is a reception place with a prototype table designed by the architect that explores residential diversity.

villa seaface.jpg

To complete it all, a pool terrace with steel arches that swoop above and down the hillside are gridded with the network of cables that support sails for shade and privacy as well as encourage the growth of greenery. Now this is what you call an engineering marvel!

Absolutely amazing.. wouldn't you all think?
