Donald Trump Palm Beach Home Sold For $100,000,000

Donald Trump’s home in Palm Beach Florida, sold recently for a reported $100,000,000, to a Russian billionaire named Dmitry Rybolovlev. The deal is supposed to close some time this month according to an article in the Miami Herald. Mr. Trump feels that he sold the home on the cheap; he said “This is the highest price ever paid for a house, and I think it's a bargain''.

The property is located at 515 N. County Road, in
Palm Beach, Florida, and if the sale closes it will be the most expensive home sold in the US. The 60,000 square feet oceanfront home is situated on a 6.5 acre lot, and was originally built in 1990. The property boasts 475 linear feet of oceanfront.

According to the Palm Beach property records, Trump Properties purchased the mansion, named Maison de l'Amitie, for $41,350,000, in January 2005. The previous sale was in 1988, when the property was purchased for $12,089,500.

UPDATE: (July 17, 2008) According to a report today by CNN, Donald Trump signed over the deed to his house on Tuesday for $100,000,000, the highest price ever paid for an estate in the U.S. Mr. Trump's spokesman admits that there is no way to verify that claim. Congratulations to Donald Trump!
