I have a new favourite - NZ designer/illustrator Brett King.
He's currently living in Helsinki (the new design capital of the world, did you hear?), creating 'digital toy boxes' with four other awesome young men. They've called their collective Kapu and their first app - launched only a couple of weeks ago - is Kapu Forest. The design was inspired by mid-century children's books and the team collaborated with local musicians to create the app's 60's jazz soundtrack. It's available for iPad and iPhone and is only $1.99 (there's also a lite version for free) - so if you have little beans aged around 1-4, check it out.
