favorite fall outfit

Every season I have a go-to outfit that I keep reaching for. This is my current favorite for fall....

1. soft loose tunic from J Jill
2. black stretch ankle slacks that I found at Target for under under $30 (great knock off of the $129 J Crew Minnie pant)
3. quilted Corso Como boots (on sale now at Bloomingdale's) for cooler days
4. a leopard print scarf
5. or my favorite black flats for warm days

Heidi Merrick Fall Collection

Today is an important and critical day in US and I'm sick to my stomach for not being there and play my roll, seriously?  For those of you who think that one vote does not make a difference, you should watch this video.  Go out and make yourself count! Vote!

On a side note I wanted to share with you one of my latest obsessions in fashion, Heidi Merrick.  Her clothes are feminine, chic and modern with a flowing and delicate influence.  I loved every piece from her Spring 2012 collection but, her Fall 2012 one got me at Hello!!.  The clothes are made in downtown Los Angeles.  One more reason to love them even more.

How to wear a Trench Coat fashionalby

Having moved to Sao Paulo during the beginning of Spring has helped me skip all the heavy clothes and coats.  I've been relying on my trench coat for the evenings and lighter clothes during the days' warmer hours.
Since many other ladies count on this iconic piece for Autumn on the other side of the hemisphere as well, it's a good idea to show a few fashionable ways to use a trench coat.  I personally like to wear it with the collar up, like Jackie above; I think I invented this whole collar thing in my previous life. ;) I also like to roll up my sleeves a bit and use the belt instead of buttoning up.  
Whether you want to thank Pink Panther or Burberry for this fashion and classic stable, it's one that, regardless of the very specific-look, can be worn in many deferent ways.  Enjoy!
